North Kerry is a great place for a holiday for all the family. It specialises in fun for all ages and has lots of things to offer.
Ballybunion features some of the best Blue Flag beaches in Ireland as well as its two world renowned links golf courses. Here you can learn to surf, walk along the cliff top, watch for dolphins or simply enjoy an ice cream whilst overlooking the magnificent views over the mighty Atlantic. Ballybunion boasts an indoor Health & Leisure Centre and a 530 seat Tintean Theatre for night time entertainment.
Tralee is the capital town of Kerry and is recognised as the leader in indoor attractions in the region. In Tralee you will find Kerry County Museum, voted Museum of the year in 2009. The Aqua Dome which not only features one of Ireland’s largest Waterworld’s but also mini golf and remote control trucks and boats as well as bungee trampolines and giant slides. Toby World offers a fabulous indoor play area for the younger members of the family and Bowling and games are available at Bowling Buddies. For night time entertainment we have Siamsa Tire, Kingdom Greyhound Stadium or the multi screen cinema.
Listowel is renowned as the home of several famous writers and The Seanchai, Kerry literary and Cultural centre is well worth a visit as is Listowel Castle and the Lartigue Monorailway and Museum. If you are feeling a bit more energetic pop into the Listowel Sports Centre which has lots of indoor and outdoor activities.
Castleisland should also be on your itinerary on your visit to North Kerry & here you can see the magnificent Crag Cave, a magical wonderland of stalagmites & stalactites thought to be over one million years old. It is also home to Crazy Cave, the Kingdoms No1 House of Fun, an indoor & outdoor adventure centre for children from 0-12yrs.
